1. About these Terms
1.1 These Terms and Booking Policy apply to all table bookings made with Guido’s Grill through our website.
1.2 By making a booking through our website, and by ticking the box confirming your acceptance of these Terms, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by them.
1.3 These Terms apply together with any booking-specific information shown to you before you confirm your booking, including, where applicable, the booking date, time, party size, deposit amount, cancellation window, no-show charge, table time allocation, and any special conditions for selected days, times, events, or promotions.
1.4 If there is any conflict between these Terms and the booking-specific information displayed at the time of booking, the booking-specific information shall take precedence to the extent necessary.
2. Who may book
2.1 You must be at least 18 years old to make a booking through our website.
2.2 You must provide accurate, complete, and current information when making a booking, including your name, contact details, party size, and any other information requested by the booking form.
2.3 We may contact you in relation to your booking using the details you provide.
3. How bookings are made
3.1 A booking request is not confirmed until you receive a confirmation message or confirmation email from us, or until the booking system clearly shows that your booking has been accepted.
3.2 We reserve the right to decline a booking request where this is reasonably necessary, including where availability is no longer present, the booking information is incomplete or inaccurate, or operational limits have been reached.
3.3 We may set different booking conditions depending on the day, time, season, event, area of the restaurant, or group size.
4. Deposits, card details, and payments
4.1 Some bookings may require a deposit, advance payment, or card authentication in order to secure the reservation. Others may not.
4.2 Any deposit, advance payment, pre-authorisation, no-show fee, or cancellation charge applicable to your booking will be clearly shown to you before you confirm the booking.
4.3 The amount of any deposit or advance payment may vary depending on factors such as party size, date, time, event, or internal booking settings selected by the restaurant.
4.4 Where payment is required at the time of booking, payment will be processed through the payment method or platform made available on the website at that time.
4.5 We may use third-party payment providers to process payments securely. We do not store full card details unless this is expressly stated and lawfully permitted.
4.6 If your payment is declined, expires, or cannot be processed, we may be unable to confirm or maintain your booking.
5. Cancellation by you
5.1 If you need to cancel your booking, you should do so as early as possible using the method stated in your confirmation email, through the booking platform, or by contacting us directly.
5.2 The cancellation terms applying to your booking, including any deadline for cancelling without charge, will be shown to you before you confirm the booking.
5.3 Where a deposit, advance payment, cancellation fee, or no-show charge applies, this will be handled in accordance with the booking-specific terms shown to you at the time of booking.
5.4 Any amount retained or charged following cancellation or non-attendance will be limited to what is permitted under applicable law and these Terms.
5.5 Where no cancellation fee or no-show charge was displayed to you before booking confirmation, we will not charge one afterwards unless you separately agree.
6. No-shows and late arrival
6.1 If you do not attend your booking and have not cancelled in accordance with the applicable cancellation policy, we may treat the booking as a no-show.
6.2 Where a no-show fee or deposit forfeiture applies, the amount and conditions will be shown to you before you confirm the booking.
6.3 If you expect to arrive late, you should contact us as soon as possible.
6.4 We may release your table if you arrive late and we have not heard from you, or if the delay materially affects service or table availability.
6.5 Late arrival may reduce your available dining time where table times are allocated.
7. Changes to your booking
7.1 If you wish to change the date, time, or party size of your booking, we will try to accommodate the request but cannot guarantee that changes will be possible.
7.2 A requested change may be treated as a cancellation of the original booking and a new booking, depending on the timing of the request and the settings applying to that booking.
7.3 If your party size changes, different deposit, cancellation, or seating terms may apply.
8. Table allocation and dining times
8.1 We may allocate tables according to availability, service needs, party size, and operational requirements.
8.2 We cannot guarantee a particular table, location, or seating area unless we have expressly confirmed this in writing.
8.3 Bookings may be subject to a time allocation. Where this applies, it will be shown at the time of booking or stated in your confirmation.
8.4 We may need to reassign tables, adjust seating arrangements, or limit booking duration where reasonably necessary for service, safety, or capacity management.
9. Groups and special booking conditions
9.1 Larger groups may be subject to separate booking terms, including different deposit requirements, menu arrangements, pre-orders, minimum spend requirements, cancellation windows, or service conditions.
9.2 Any such terms will be made clear before booking confirmation or agreed separately with you in writing.
9.3 If a group booking has special arrangements, those arrangements will form part of the contract between you and us.
10. Special requests, allergies, and dietary requirements
10.1 You may tell us about allergies, intolerances, accessibility needs, or dietary preferences when making your booking.
10.2 We will take reasonable care to note and communicate such information, but we cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment because allergens may be present in our kitchen and on our premises.
10.3 If you or anyone in your party has a serious allergy, you must inform a member of staff on arrival and before ordering food or drink.
11. Behaviour and refusal of service
11.1 We want our restaurant to be safe and welcoming for all guests and staff.
11.2 We reserve the right to refuse service, refuse entry, cancel a booking, or ask guests to leave where this is reasonably necessary, including in cases of abusive, threatening, discriminatory, unsafe, intoxicated, unlawful, or inappropriate behaviour.
11.3 Where we exercise this right because of your conduct or the conduct of your party, we may retain any applicable deposit or apply any applicable charge where this was clearly disclosed before booking and is lawful and reasonable in the circumstances.
12. Our right to change or cancel a booking
12.1 In rare cases, we may need to amend or cancel a booking. This may happen for reasons including operational issues, health and safety concerns, technical errors, staffing issues, private events, emergency circumstances, or events outside our reasonable control.
12.2 If we need to change or cancel your booking, we will try to contact you using the details you provided.
12.3 Where we cancel a booking for reasons not caused by you, we will refund any deposit or advance payment actually paid for that booking, unless we have agreed an alternative arrangement with you.
12.4 We shall not be liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from a booking cancellation or change.
13. Prices and restaurant charges
13.1 Menu prices, offers, promotions, and availability may change from time to time.
13.2 The prices payable for food and drink ordered at the restaurant are those in force at the time of your visit unless a fixed menu, event package, or pre-agreed arrangement applies.
13.3 Any optional service charge, mandatory charge for a specific event, or minimum spend requirement will be clearly communicated where applicable.
14. Vouchers, offers, and promotions
14.1 Where bookings are made in connection with a voucher, promotional offer, event, or special menu, additional terms may apply.
14.2 Those additional terms will form part of your booking contract where they are shown to you before confirmation or otherwise provided to you in writing.
15. Data protection and privacy
15.1 We use your personal information to administer your booking, contact you about it, manage our restaurant operations, process payments where applicable, and comply with legal obligations.
15.2 We may share relevant booking information with our booking platform providers, payment processors, IT service providers, and other service providers where reasonably necessary for those purposes.
15.3 Further information about how we collect, use, store, and share personal data is set out in our Privacy Policy.
15.4 Our website may also use cookies or similar technologies. Please see our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy for further details.
16. Consumer rights
16.1 Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any rights you have as a consumer under applicable law.
16.2 Restaurant bookings for a specific date or time are generally treated differently from ordinary online service contracts, and the usual 14 day cooling-off right does not generally apply to catering or leisure bookings for a specific date or period. Any cancellation rights we offer will therefore be those stated in these Terms and in the booking-specific conditions shown at the time of booking.
17. Complaints
17.1 If you have a complaint about your booking or your visit, please contact us using the details set out above and we will try to resolve the matter fairly and promptly.
18. Changes to these Terms
18.1 We may update these Terms from time to time.
18.2 The version in force at the time of your booking will apply to that booking.
19. Governing law
19.1 These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
19.2 Any dispute arising in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, unless another part of the United Kingdom gives you the right to bring proceedings there as a consumer.
