Food was great, the waiter was also very friendly and nice with us. However it took like 20 mins to get our food. Some food was cold, that was the worse for. Eating a cold meat is the worst thing ever. Waiter didn’t even tell us that food was coming or that is going to take about 20 mins. We have to ask the waiter twice how long is gonna take. He even forgot to give us the drinks, we had to remind him. Absolutely world-class – a true hidden gem in Camberwell This Restaurant is, without question, one of the best restaurants I have ever eaten in. I travelled all the way from Beckenham, Kent, and I can honestly say it was worth every minute of the journey. I’ve eaten in New York, South Africa, the Caribbean, and all over London, and this place stands proudly among the very best. From the moment we arrived, the warmth, care, and professionalism of the staff were exceptional. Joanna, the manager, personally arranged a special 1pm booking for us, and the level of service she provided was honestly the best service I’ve ever experienced. It was thoughtful, seamless, and genuinely caring. Joanna was there with her daughter, who was absolutely wonderful, as well as another young lady on the team, both were fantastic, attentive and made us feel completely welcome. The service felt personal, heartfelt, and effortlessly professional. The chef is world-class. The food was absolutely outstanding, authentic, beautifully cooked and bursting with flavour. Every dish felt like it was prepared with pride and love. It was also my partner’s birthday and the way they made her feel extra special truly touched us. The surprise birthday Carrot cake was unforgettable, genuinely one of the best things we’ve ever tasted and it perfectly capped off an already perfect experience. We left feeling happy, grateful and excited to return. This is not just a restaurant; it’s an experience. A true hidden gem that deserves recognition far beyond Camberwell. I’m a 46-year-old man, and I don’t say this lightly. This is one of the best restaurants I have ever eaten in, anywhere in the world. Highly recommended. We cannot wait to come back.
